Suntory PepsiCo packaging uses recycled plastic to protect the environment
Suntory PepsiCo has just signed a 5-year strategic partnership agreement with Duy Tan Recycled Plastics for the circular economy of recycled plastic.
Accordingly, Duy Tan Recycled Plastic Co., Ltd. (Duy Tan Recycled Plastic) donated recycled plastic to Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Co., Ltd. (Suntory PepsiCo) to produce packaging for products over the next five years from 2022 to 2026. With the signing, Suntory PepsiCo becomes the first beverage company in the Vietnamese market to sign a strategic partnership agreement with a local manufacturer for the supply of recycled plastic.
According to the MOU between the two signatories, the two companies are committed to sustainable development and propose joint initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of production, improve production efficiency and productivity, and offer customers products with international standards. This strategic partnership will help create more jobs for domestic workers, support the community in environmental protection, and support the development of Vietnam’s circular economy.

Mr. Tran Duy Hy, President of Duy Tan Recycling Plastics, is committed to providing Suntory PepsiCo with the highest percentage of recycled plastic pellets. Duy Tan Plastic Recycling is a Vietnamese company that produces recycled plastic particles that meet international standards, mainly for the food industry. The company has started construction in Long An from September 2019, after completion, the capacity will be 100,000 tons per year. With modern production lines imported from Europe, Duy Tan’s products meet US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards for recycled plastic used in food packaging, in addition to ISO management system standards.
